A visual identity between effervescence and festivity
For the third consecutive year, Studio Alice Franchetti has designed the visual identity of the Festival de la Cité, taking place from July 1 to 6, 2025.
Inspired by the bubble, a symbol of lightness and energy, the poster features an evolving grid where the word Cité gradually emerges. Each bubble represents an artist, a performance, or an emotion, illustrating the festival’s diversity and richness through a composition that balances order and creative chaos.
The silver metallic effect adds a play of luminous reflections, evoking the magic of summer nights and the intensity of the performances. Blending minimalism and elegance, this visual identity offers an immersive experience, where simplicity and complexity intertwine in a festive and social dynamic.

An iconic venue, an ambitious artistic programme, a new director with his or her own personal touch and always a crack team of staff - that's the magic formula for the Festival de la Cité.
For over 50 years, we've been delighted to welcome back our tireless volunteers to make this week-long celebration possible. Every year, nearly 400 people, both paid and unpaid, make this Lausanne artistic event a unique experience, and we can't thank them enough. We'd be delighted to welcome you too to our big family from 1 to 6 July 2025!

The Festival de la Cité is looking for accommodations!
As every year, the Festival de la Cité hosts a large number of artists and technicians before, during, and after the festival week.
Are you going on vacation in July? Would you be willing to make your apartment available to us? Or do you have a spare room with a bed that you would be open to renting out? Our teams will take care of the check-in and check-out inspections.
Dates needed:
June 20 – July 14 (the entire period, part of these dates, or only during the festival dates from July 1-6)
