The Accessibility Pass helps Festival volunteers and the public identify people who may need assistance, for example:
→ Sitting in the front row or near the sound source
→ Borrowing a chair or a cushion
→ Taking a bit more time at the bar
It’s a pin you can pick up at the info stand in front of the Cathedral. No explanation is needed to get the pass.

Seating
→ Many people attend shows and concerts.
→ To get a seat, it’s best to arrive about 30 minutes early.
→ For assistance, speak to someone wearing a white INFO vest or a black ACCESSIBILITY TEAM vest.
→ “Priority” seating (linked to the Accessibility Pass) is available at La Perchée, La Planquée, the Cathedral, Place Saint-Maur, and the Balcons de la Mercerie.
→ At Place du Château, the Vergers de l’Hermitage, and Place Aloïse-Corbaz, chairs are available on request from the technical team.
Guide Dogs
→ Guide dogs and assistance dogs are allowed in all areas.
Accessible Toilets (PRM)
→ Public PRM toilets are located under the Cour du Gymnase, on Rue Cité-devant (Eurokey access)
→ Place du Château
→ Rue Pierre-Viret, next to the Grand Canyon stage
→ Tridel (at the bottom of the ramp)
La Chaise Rouge
The Festival de la Cité collaborates with La Chaise Rouge – a service offered by the Vaud Red Cross with the support of Pro Infirmis Vaud – to provide personalised support adapted to different types of disabilities.
People with disabilities who wish to use this assistance service can contact the Vaud Red Cross, which will connect them with a volunteer depending on availability.

In the center of the Cité, there are often large crowds.

Routes to avoid the crowd
The map below shows paths that help you avoid crowded areas.
For example, if you're coming from Pont Bessière and want to reach Place du Château (La Perchée and Crescendo), or if you want to go down to Riponne (Palais de Rumine) while avoiding the crowd.
Please note: the path going down to the Palais de Rumine is not accessible to people with reduced mobility, as it includes stairs.
