The Festival de la Cité's foundation

The Festival is managed by a private foundation: the Fondation Festival de la Cité. The Foundation Board, chaired by Loïka Lorenzini, is made up of a maximum of nine people, representing the cultural and economic sectors, the Canton of Vaud and the City of Lausanne. Martine Chalverat has been Festival Director since September 2022. The programme is devised and put together by a team of four people with a solid reputation in the cultural world, who can draw on an external network of expertise. The extended office is made up of a team of 14 people, who manage the development of the festival, administration and finance, programming, production, technology, communications, F&B and staff. Before, during and after the festival, around 450 people work to ensure that the festival runs smoothly, the vast majority of them salaried.
