KNOBIL DUO

Louise Knobil, a double bass player, singer and composer from Lausanne, is also the architect of KNOBIL. With her roots firmly planted in jazz, and influenced by Esperanza Spalding, Charles Mingus and Oscar Pettiford, Louise KNOBIL uses her double bass and voice to create original compositions somewhere between chanson, post-bop and glittering jazz. Lulled by the songs of Joni Mitchell, Ella Fitzgerald and Kadhja Bonet, KNOBIL also gives a prominent place to her vocals and the stories she tells. KNOBIL is a high-quality proposition, a natural blend of the old and the new, which we'll have the pleasure of hearing in an intimate duo format in the lush Vergers de l'Hermitage.
