Ossip, a troubled and endearing secondary character in Chekov's Platonov, lives alone in the forest on the outskirts of the estate of a wealthy widow, Anna Petrovna, with whom he is hopelessly in love.
Four actors, all of whom have played Ossip in different productions, meet in a clearing at dusk. The location is not insignificant, for behind the trees lies a wealthy mansion...
Between backstage and fiction, between the Daltons and the figure of the man in the woods, the performance explores our relationship with love and the wild. Time is suspended between two centuries, soft and rough like birch bark.
