Vive la liberté, poil au nez ! (49’) – for all audiences
Lively characters turn the world upside down in two films with anarchist momentum. The screening will be followed by a micro-concert by Abstral Compost.
Zéro de conduite, Jean Vigo, France, 1933, 41’
In a provincial boarding school, students protest against the severity of their teachers. When one of the boarders is unjustly punished, his classmates plot a revolt with the help of the new supervisor.
Grimaces, Daniel Suter, Switzerland, 1985, 8’
A “king” dreams of insulting his people and showing them his arse, and they do it. Dominants and dominated share the same fantasy of social rites.
Followed by a micro-concert by Abstral Compost
Rapper, poet, performer and actor, Jonathan Dumani (AbSTRAL compost) writes mainly for the spoken word, in French and English, beyond the conventions and limits of language. His approach and experiments oscillate diffusely between rap, spoken word, sound poetry and the writing of shows where words and music intermingle.
