AWKA is a Chilean DJ based in Geneva. She began her DJ journey in 2017 and has since focused her work on Women & Queer Reggaeton. AWKA blends tracks of cumbia and conscious perreo, sung or produced by women, trans, and non-binary people, as for her, DJ-ing is also political. This unique approach has led her to share the stage with international artists such as Sara Hebe, Kumbia Queers, Ana Tijoux, Ketekalles, Dengue Dengue Dengue, Chico Trujillo, and El Caribe Funk. AWKA is also committed to supporting social and political causes by playing at benefit parties and protests.
