By Hand is a participatory show freely inspired by Tiago Rodrigues' By Heart. Ten spectators are invited to learn a juggled poem by heart. As the poem is thrown, sensations and reminiscences emerge - fragments of stories or intimate anecdotes - which the performers share with the audience, as this ephemeral battalion of jugglers appropriates the text in movement. By Hand is also the story of the author's quest for a juggling act worthy of being memorized, but which anyone could learn in less than an hour; and who share their doubts about this quest with Tiago Rodrigues, even though he knows nothing about juggling.
The Ea Eo company was founded in 2009 by Bram Dobbelaere, Jordaan De Cuyper, Sander De Cuyper and Eric Longequel, and was joined in 2014 by Neta Oren.
Juggling and rotten jokes are the 2 languages at the heart of the company's work. We enjoy talking about anything and everything with this particular vocabulary.
